Setting the table for Easter
If I’m being honest, with the crazy pace of life in a family with three teenagers I rarely set a beautiful table at our house. We’re running here and there, and most days I’m just thrilled if we’re all together for a meal! Easter is my favorite holiday to slow down and actually make things beautiful. It’s the one time of the year that I always add flowers to the table and dust off the china and crystal to make things feel special. I love to pull out my mismatched collection of bud vases and fill them with all of the beautiful blooms of the season - ranunculus, anemones, blooming jasmine vine, daffodils - it’s the absolute time of the year for flowers!
Our Easter meal isn’t fancy - it’s usually scrambled eggs and pancakes served on our fine china on a table littered with the candy from the morning’s backyard egg hunt, but it’s my favorite. We’re counting our blessings and celebrating our risen Lord and the renewed sense of hope that brings.
Happy Easter to you and yours!
